Government Relations - Sacramento, California, United States
The California Latino Capitol Association Foundation (CLCAF) is a Sacramento-based professional organization. Established in 1975, over the years, CLCA has continually brought California's legislative staff, legislative advocates, the Sacramento community, and other professionals around the state together to promote the professional development of its members and serve the community.2011 was a landmark year for the community when the CLCA Foundation's 501(c)(3) status was approved. We have expanded our successful Summer Internship Program and Scholarship to more youth with this milestone achievement. Our program places high school students in Capitol offices and government relations firms, giving them the opportunity to work in a professional environment, learn about public policy and the legislative process. We especially strive to give opportunities to youth who show great promise, yet may not have access to college preparedness resources or who might face barriers in pursuing their education. Please explore our "Scholarship Program" tab for additional sponsorship and application information.Although our focus is primarily to promote the personal and professional development of Latinos in, around, and beyond the Capitol, we are not Latino exclusive.
