"We Are Veterans Helping Veterans"The California Veterans Assistance Foundation (CVAF) is a 501 (c) (3), nonprofit, tax exempt corporation. It was established in 2003 to operate transitional housing programs for military veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The CVAF Board of Directors is comprised of veterans who are nationally recognized as experts on the issues of homelessness among veterans and are dedicated to veteran's advocacy. The CVAF currently operates two of these programs in Kern County, California. (www.cavaf.org) CVAF provides supportive services and transitional housing for veterans from all over the United States.
