Calleja Group is a leading provider of integrated waste transport and waste management solutions. Established in the 1950s as a one-truck transport business, the Calleja Group has – over three generations – grown into a major waste transport business that operates more than 140 trucks and employs more than 250 people across Victoria. We partner with our customers and communities to manage and reduce waste from collection to disposal while recovering valuable resources. Calleja provide innovative transport and waste management solutions to customers as well developing advanced resource re-use and recovery technologies. With our extensive knowledge in transport and safe management of waste and recyclable materials, we are an experienced and reliable partner for our clients. Thanks to our large fleet of vehicles, we are able to respond flexibly and at short notice to customer requests.Calleja owns Maddingley Brown Coal, an EPA licenced landfill of state significance and a vital contributor to the local community, both economically and socially, supporting 50 local jobs and contributing to several local organisations. In addition, Calleja owns and operates the JBD Industrial Estate, adjacent to the Maddingley Brown Coal (MBC) mine and landfill. The JBD Industrial Estate counts among its tenants, businesses which reuse waste, use advanced technologies to develop cleaner fuels and process high-grade fertiliser products using coal extracted at MBC.Calleja Group's combined three generations of experience, integrated waste business and investment in creating circular waste economies means the business is well placed to deliver quality, sustainable waste management solutions to their customer base and the communities in which they work.
