Calmura Natural Walls Inc. is a social venture on a mission to reduce the environmental impact of constructing homes and buildings. Their patented monolithic biocomposite wall system, using factory-produced, modular biocomposite panels and matching infill, is known to be flood, fire, pest and earthquake resistant and therefore highly climate-change resilient. The sustainability goal is to create dwellings that will last for generations while locking carbon from waste cellulose in the building envelope. Calmura has completed pre-pilot research and testing at FPInnovations-UBC, and is looking for strategic partnerships to scale their pioneering venture through pilot operations to full-scale regional production facilities.
