Research - Cambridge, England, United Kingdom
Cambridge Existential Risks Initiative (CERI) is an organisation which supports aspiring researchers in safeguarding the future of humanity, via various activities such as existential risk introductory courses and a fellowship programme (https://www.cerifellowship.org). The CERI Fellowship provides aspiring researchers with an in-person, paid, 10-week summer fellowship in Cambridge to do research and become immersed in the community developing ways to mitigate extreme threats to humanity.CERI fellows will experience a summer working in Cambridge, receive free accommodation and transport, and gain support via mentorship from our network of researchers, policymakers, and grantmakers. We aim to provide a holistic overview of the current existential risk research, coupled with the opportunity to produce meaningful work in this regard. In the spirit of this, CERI has connected with other similar initiatives globally to foster interdisciplinary connections with like-minded people and to drive collaborative research on high impact existential risk causes.
