Food & Beverages - Montrose, Colorado, United States
Camp Robber is located at 1515 Ogden Road, Montrose, CO and is known for creative restaurant cuisine and catering!Owners Bill and Kim Volk opened the Camp Robber in 1994 in downtown Montrose. The concept for this unique restaurant began many years earlier when the owner's love of the mountains moved them from Albuquerque, NM to Colorado. While on many outings in the beautiful Colorado Mountains, they were visited by the Canadian Grey Jay, nicknamed the Camp Robber by miners. They are known for swooping down on campers and stealing food from picnic tables, or eating right out of your hands. By 2006, the restaurant had become so popular that a larger facility was necessary. Their current building was constructed to accommodate a private party room, known as the Aspen Room, a large outdoor patio, a beautiful bar known as the Robbers Roost, and a much larger dining room for their guests. Southwestern flavors are still the main focus for this contemporary-casual restaurant. They are best known for their specialty green chili items, such as the Green Chile Chicken Potato Soup. They also have everything from salads, pastas, specialty sandwiches, New Mexican food, fresh steaks and seafood, house-made desserts and hand-crafted beverages. They serve Lunch, Dinner, Sunday Brunch, and offer a variety of catering services.Camp Robber is an Equal Employment Affirmative Action Employer.
