What is Campus Party Digital Edition 9-11 July? The world's largest Open Innovation experience bringing together students, artists, entrepreneurs, STEM communities, companies and institutions to create a better future using technology as a tool to change the world in a conscientious and responsible way. Since 1997 Campus Parties have been organized in 30+ countries with over 83 editions. In 2016, the Netherlands hosted our first global edition with over 52 countries attending, accounting for 8900 visitors and 1650 campers. This year is different, as we return fully digitally, broadcasting our stages online. We are moving towards a world record attempt in most speakers on a single event. We will be hosting over a 1000 speakers including Prince Constantijn van Oranje representing what start-ups and scale-ups can do to reboot the country. premiering Linda Jacobsen's documentary ‘Silence Undone' that highlights child abuse during COVID-19, a session with Renée Scheltema who directed the award-winning movie about climate change The Normal Is Over, a narrative on how we can sustain our planet. Internationally, we will be joined by the likes of Edward Snowden (whistleblower), Tim Berners-Lee (founding father of the internet) and Al Gore (climate activist and ex-president USA) who will offer their take on rebooting the world. Speakers are performing panels, workshop or interactive talks with live chat audiences via Youtube. With over 30 countries bringing in a global mainstage, we hope to receive an accumulated reach of 3 million viewers during the 3 days of the event (9- 11 July) and making available all talks and sessions for free for people to watch back on-demand. This effort is paired with a global call for ideas and a Job Factory to help the UN & our youth to solve world problems related to the SDGs.The Netherlands has a line-up of over 80 speakers, on various stages: Living better, Joy of life, Work life, Green Deal and New horizons. Feel free to join us.
