The Canada's Clean50 Awards program was founded in 2011 by @Gavin Pitchford and @Delta Management Group to identify, recognize and connect leaders from every form of endeavour, and from all across Canada. By doing so, we amplify their voices, help share their best practices, and inspire change and collaboration in the fight for climate action. Each year, on Earth Day, (April 22nd) our team of Clean50 Analysts begins a fresh search for the next 50 Clean50 individual honourees, the next 10 Emerging Leaders and the next Clean50 Top Projects.Nominations can be made in all three categories under the Nominations tab on the website, based on accomplishments over the prior two years. Nominations close on Canada Day. Clean50 winners for the following year are usually announced in October, and (pandemics permitting) gather for the annual Clean50 Summit in Toronto at the same time, where honourees engage in a series of intense discussions throughout a packed day, designed to facilitate and accelerate meaningful collaborations going forward.
