CMHA Kootenays believes good mental health is essential to overall health and well-being. Our program areas and services include:- Housing Services: we provide low income housing in the communities of Cranbrook, Kimberley, Golden, Creston, Trail, Castlegar and Nelson. We house seniors, persons with disabilities, and low income families.- Women Services - we operate the transition house and second stage housing which supports women and their children fleeing violence and abuse. The Community Outreach Program provides support and resources to those in need.- Youth Services - we provide support and coaching to children and youth in PEACE, Youth Outreach and Family Support and Life Skills-Kimberley- Volunteer Kootenays - we recruit volunteers to respond on the crisis line, to call and visit seniors in Cranbrook, to complete income tax for eligible individuals and support other Cranbrook organizations in volunteer recruitment.- Public Education - we provide courses and trainings throughout the Kootenays.
