Our collective future largely depends on education. As an educator, veteran, small businessperson, greenbuilder, husband, father, son, brother, and first generation college graduate, I take education seriously.My candidacy for this office springs forth from a longstanding commitment to public service and a personal history of overcoming long odds in the pursuit of achievement.ACC is an important Austin institution whose importance will only continue to grow in the years ahead. It requires leaders who have themselves walked the path so many of the college's students are walking, and who have an instinctual understanding of the challenges many of today's young people face.It also requires qualified leaders with an objective and demonstrated record of leadership and accomplishment. My candidacy brings such experience for your consideration.
