The Can:Do Group is the umbrella organisation overseeing the operation of South Australia's two oldest charities; Can:Do 4Kids and Deaf Can:Do. At any time the Can:Do Group serves more than 4,000 people and connects with thousands more every day. Along with this the Group also operates business venture Can:Do Hearing that raises valuable funds to support the vital services offered to the community.Have you ever tried to find your way in the dark or communicate with someone in a noisy crowd? What is often only a momentary frustration for us can be the daily reality for someone living with a vision or hearing impairment.Since its inception in 1891 Deaf Can:Do, The Royal South Australian Deaf Society, has been pivotal in providing a range of services to the South Australian adult Deaf and hard of hearing community. Can:Do 4Kids, Townsend House, is South Australia's oldest registered charity and was founded in 1874. Can:Do 4Kids is a family-centred service providing quality specialist programs for children and young people who are blind/vision impaired, deaf/hearing impaired and their families across South Australia.
