Furniture - Boston, Massachusetts, United States
I was hoping to find a cherry table top and to design a trestle base that would look classic and timeless. The guys at Cannon Hill sourced the live edge wood from Massachusetts and made sure it was properly kiln dried, which they explained is one of the most important steps. They took precautions to install bowties on the underside of the table anywhere the wood was naturally splitting to ensure the splits would never grow. They made the entire trestle with real wood joinery (no screws!) and even hand turned walnut dowels to hold the components of the trestle together. They were patient in explaining the entire process to me, and went above and beyond to find wood that I loved and make the table authentic and beautiful. I love that they are local! I am able to walk to their showroom. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience and I love my table!
