Fund-raising - Wilmington, North Carolina, United States
The Cape Fear Community College Foundation exists solely to support the students, teachers, programs and mission of the College. We secure and manage gifts, including cash contributions, deferred gifts, securities, donated services, and equipment and supplies for educational purposes. Most of the funds we raise are designated for our students in the form of scholarships to directly help them with their education. Our goals are to:• provide financial assistance to our students in the form of scholarships, grants, and aid; • purchase or obtain gifts of equipment and supplies for use in various College programs; • sponsor special events and activities; • build a general endowment fund for the support of CFCC; • provide tangible recognition of donors gifts; and • enlist support for the College within the community. Our success has a lot to do with the leaders and citizens of our communities who step forward, get to know our students, and invariably decide to help many of them. Some of our supporters are themselves former CFCC students. They aid today's students knowing their role in helping to make the Cape Fear region strong and prosperous. Gifts to support our students and the college grow in the marketplace and enable our donors to get the most out of their philanthropic dollar.
