Capoeira Maculelê is Atlanta's largest Capoeira academy and the only award winning Capoeira school. Grupo Maculelê was establish in Atlanta, GA in 2002 at Georgia State University and Emory University with the arrival of Mestre Fran and Mestra Sara. Over the past years, Capoeira Maculele Decatur have hosted numerous events with special gusts from all over the world and performed at numerous festivals in the City of Decatur, Atlanta, Piedmont Park, Phillips Arena, Georgia Aquarium, Emory University, UGA, GSU and many more. Capoeira Maculele Decatur also provides Brazilian entertainment for Corporate events, Weddings, Birthday parties, Television shows and festivals.
