The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing of our citizens by advancing the profession of nursing through education, scholarship and service. The College excels in providing an invigorating curriculum that prepares nursing students at the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral levels. Its programs merge fundamentals of nursing with innovative clinical practice and the creative use of technology. Traditional students receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Our online and blended degree programs offer practicing nurses the opportunity to advance their education. We offer an RN Mobility program leading to a BSN or MSN, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), a Doctorate of Education for Nurse Educators (EdD) and a Joint Nursing Science Ph.D. Capstone College of Nursing graduates enter the workforce confident that they possess the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to lead in today’s healthcare environment.
