Retail - São Paulo, State of São Paulo, Brazil
Caraigá was founded on October 1, 1965. In order to create a clear identification with the Brazilian people, Caraigá decided to create the analogy of the Volkswagen brand (which means "people's car" in German) with its company. From the association of the indigenous words Cara ("people") and Igá ("canoe", the transport of the Indians), the name Caraigá emerged, as the 100% Brazilian equivalent of the German automaker Volkswagen. After consolidated growth over the first few years, the company merged with the former Jaguaré Veículos, in 1976, strengthening its operations in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. In 1994, Caraigá's operations expanded with the acquisition of the Audi brand for its portfolio, this being the first Audi dealership in Brazil, even maintaining its leadership in sales over the last few years for the Audi brand. Caraigá maintains a growing pace in the market, and the dealership has been the best seller of imported VW in Brazil in recent years. In addition to this achievement, Caraigá has received the status of Top 5 Imported VW annually since 2001. Its great growth has earned it several awards and certifications in all the years of its existence, the result of a solid and disciplined management in the ideals of quality in service and in customer satisfaction. * Morumbi Volkswagen Unit Sales, Technical Assistance, Parts and Accessories Address: Avenida Duquesa de Goiás, 800 - Morumbi Tel.: (11) 3525-8000 Audi Center Morumbi Sales, Technical Assistance, Parts and Accessories Address: Avenida Duquesa de Goiás, 800 - Morumbi Tel.: (11) 3525-8008 Audi Center Jardins Sales Address: Rua Colombia, 659 - Jardim Europa Tel.:
