In 2017, three college buddies came together with a simple plan; create a fashionable, preppy apparel brand with a higher, feel-good purpose. All born and raised in sunny Miami, Florida, the three of them are no strangers to the sea. Inspired by Miami's vibrant culture and aquatic lifestyle, they founded Carapeace.Over the decades, there has been a striking difference in the quality of our ocean. It continues to degrade the more we allow issues like coastal development, over-fishing, and pollution to persist. These wrongdoings endanger every species of sea turtles. Something has to change. That is why Carapeace is proud to donate a percentage of its annual profits to organizations like Loggerhead Marinelife Center, who exist solely to advocate sea turtle conservation.Our purpose seeps to the core of the company's identity. Carapeace is a play on the word carapace, the upper hard shell of the sea turtle, which provides protection when needed. We strive to do the same.
