CarBengkel is a Malaysian startup and a product made successful by the pre-seed grant from Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd, an agency of Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. On the backdrop of rising cost of living and car maintenance being a non-budgeted expenditure, CarBengkel promotes competition for the benefits of users through fast response, best service and most reasonably priced by leveraging on GPS, PUSH and mobile technology. On the demand side, most car owners wasted so much time waiting and queuing for their car to be service, calling workshops, browsing internet and to drive around in search for available reliable workshops. Car owners too are constantly concerned about being cheated and over-charged unbeknownst of the workshop history or its charges for services. From the supply side, Car workshops struggles to break-even with some, having an empty workshop without any customers but with high monthly fix overhead cost. Even though the demand and supply for workshop is high, the mismatching of time, convenience and pricing leads to significant inefficiencies. Workshops had to spend thousands if not millions every year in advertisement. CarBengkel comprised of two mobile applications designed after researching the most common problem faced by car owners and car workshop operators. CarBengkel matches the needs of all car service, repair, warranty and maintenance to the workshop base on the service the workshop provides, the workshop operating hours and the availability of mechanics and parts.
