CarbonSink Development Initiatives Details
CarbonSink Development Initiatives is a network of young environmental professionals operationally committed to the implementation of research and development projects around Land Use, Forest, and Climate Change. We tend to address the growing environmental concerns and its impacts on humanity, especially in the vulnerable regions of the developing countries. We develop projects on climate change mitigation and adaptation, including restoration of degraded lands; forest carbon sequestration; forest ecosystems and biodiversity; forest policy and sustainable forest management; adaptation strategies to impact of extreme weather on Agriculture, water and livelihood of rural communities. Mission Statement To empower local communities through environmental research and development projects for optimum social, economic, and environmental benefits as an approach to mitigate climate change and achieve sustainable development.
