CardiMetrix is a development stage company focused on commercializing a patent pending, AHA award-winning home monitoring system for heart failure (HF) patients, to reverse early deteriorations in their health, prevent hospital readmissions, and expedite hospital discharges. Limited patient monitoring has been – and continues to be – responsible for a significant portion of the 1 million yearly HF readmissions, which cost Medicare over $17 billion each year. Telemonitoring companies have deployed solutions that measure more metrics than previously, but which are still limited and a challenge to patient compliance. Our solution acquires, analyzes, and transmits 9 vital biometrics with just a single device, to provide care providers with the best descriptors of their patients' health (some of which were previously only feasible in the clinic) while also maximizing patient compliance. These metrics include: 6 lead EKG; Heart Rate; Respiratory Rate; Pulmonary Edema; Peripheral Edema; Pulse Oximetry; Cuffless Systolic Blood Pressure Measurement; Balance; and Weight. With the information available to clinicians from our device, care providers and patients can make the fine adjustments necessary (titrating medications, diet changes, etc.) to prevent rehospitalizations.500,000 patients are monitored from home each year, by existing remote HF monitoring systems, for which the market is in excess of $400 million, with a CAGR of 23.6%.We have commitments from Heart Failure Key Opinion Leaders to run pilot studies and a randomized clinical trial. We are seeking an investment of up to $5 million to manufacture pilot devices, administer our clinical studies, and attain FDA 510K clearance.
