The Cardinal Nest is a non-profit community space with beverage and food service primarily for the students of Lincoln High School. Food - Open for food service to the community from 6:30a-4p, and then open to students with ID and a guest after hours until 7:30pm. The plan is to offer things like chicken and rice bowls, salads, smoothies, sandwiches, bagels. Study - Of primary importance is great WiFi, with plenty of power outlets, and warm, dry places to study. Activities - Weekend activities might include live music, movie nights, youth group nights, after-game hangout space. It will be staffed by parent and student volunteers and have a paid mentor, a recognized and respected presence, to engage students in lively conversation or be available as a listening ear. Social Vision - There will be an emphasis on giving outside oneself - rotating social justice organizations will be highlighted and chosen by students Space by and for the students - emphasis on student involvement in business development and student art and music display
