The Cardiovascular Fluid Mechanics (CFM) Laboratory at Georgia Tech has been one of the pioneering laboratories in the world studying the function and mechanics of heart valves and other complex cardiac defects. Originally established in 1979 by Dr. Ajit Yoganathan in the Chemical Engineering Department at Georgia Tech, the CFM lab is now in the Biomedical Engineering Department, located at Technology Enterprise Park and is currently led by Prof. Lakshmi Prasad Dasi who is Rozelle Vanda Wesley Professor at Georgia Tech and Emory University.
