CareerSource Broward (CSBD), the administrative entity of the Broward Workforce Development Board (BWDB), is a federally-funded, locally-controlled organization providing numerous services to employers and job seekers in Broward County. These services are delivered through three one-stop centers and 16 virtual kiosk sites. These virtual kiosks are located throughout Broward County and allow users to log on and access information on CSBD services and programs. Our Mission: To provide innovative solutions through the professional delivery of quality services. To provide innovative solutions through the professional delivery of quality services and meet the workforce needs of the Job Seeker. Job Seekers Services: We assist job seekers at every level, from cashiers to CEOs. Some of the job seeker services include job placement; job leads and listings; access to Internet job searches; workshops for all level of professionals; job training programs, Resource Centers with free faxes, phones, copiers & computers for job search usage; employability and career development training; resume writing assistance; job placement; transportation assistance (eligibility required); Veterans assistance; and labor market and wage information. Employer Services: Helping businesses remain competitive in today's market is a major goal of CSBD. Some services include free job postings and referrals; employee recruitment; applicant pre-screening; on-site interviewing facilities; a pool of qualified, professional-level candidates; access to dollars that help train existing employees; labor market analysis and information; assistance writing job descriptions; access to financial incentives for hiring from specific populations; and assistance with downsizing/business closures.
