Carib Housings "Green Community" is a residential concept focused on the Dutch Caribbean islands. It stands for small-scale neighbourhoods in which diversity is encouraged. Families, singles, couples, people of age, with a disability or need for care are united in a casual way and look out for each other. In addition, Carib Housing promotes self-sufficient Eco Homes and Tiny Houses that are fire resistant and built to withstand hurricanes and earthquakes. At Carib Housing locations future residents will be living in Green Communities where own renewable energy sources (e.g., electricity, biogas) are applied. Each home is hooked up to a waste-management and waste-water management system which in turn is connected to surrounding landscaped "kitchen" gardens providing this little neighbourhood own and home-grown vegetables, herbs, flowers and various fruit. Other than most real estate platforms, Carib Housing is an alternative housing platform where (potential) tenants can interact with Carib Housing. This platform core business is to advertise and promote affordable hurricane and earthquake challenged yet fire resistant housing for those who embraces the self-sufficient living concept.
