What's "caritas"? The word "caritas' is Latin for a special kind of love – sacrificial love of one's neighbor or loving kindness – what the singers like to call "love in action." The name Caritas emphasizes the giving of our audiences through an offering taken at their concerts to support a local non-profit. It perfectly suits their mission of sharing music with the community to benefit people in need. While there are many excellent choral groups in the Twin Cities, Caritas and its audiences are special: musically and financially, they all join together to change the world, once concert at a time.
