CVAC is partnered with CA State Parks to provide residents and guests of the Carlsbad community with options of fun, healthy, social, and athletic activities on the beach. Organized activities and special events such as beach volleyball, yoga, Zumba fitness, corporate team building, private catered dining & wine tastings, summer camps, etc. are offered on CA State Beaches near Carlsbad village. Proceeds from these activities help support and sustain the efforts provided by our state parks staff, whose budgets have been drastically reduced.CVAC also produces the annual Carlsbad Beach Fest, presented by the CA State Parks, which is scheduled this year for Saturday, June 4th. One mile of beach from Pine Ave. to Tamarack will be filled with live music and entertainment on multiple stages, vendor & environmental ed. booths, food, pro & amateaur athletic events. The purpose of this event is to provide a day for the community to Celebrate Recreation Paradise through Good Beach Stewardship - showing an appreciation for the beauty and value of our coastal playground. A 5K Low Tide Beach Run Blast, Walk, and Kids One Mile Run will kick off the free festivities. An underwater clean-up will also take place, lead by Legoland's Sea Life Aquarium and 100 local divers, and a massive beach clean-up will conclude the event lead by hundreds of volunteers.
