Carolina Data Challenge Details
The Carolina Data Challenge is an annual data science hackathon at UNC-Chapel Hill spanning the course of two days. Groups of participants interested in data analytics create and present dashboards, slides, and/or infographics after working with datasets to answer a research question using various data science tools and languages. There is much room in the competition for creativity and personalization! During the competition, workshops, mini events, and a Sponsorship Fair are also held for networking, learning, and fun between hacking sessions on the final project.The 2020 challenge ran October 3-4 and was 100% virtual due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, allowing for new growth opportunities as well as challenges.
