In a Carrotmob campaign, people spend money as a group to support a business and in return the business makes an improvement that the people care about. We are called Carrotmob because we use the "carrot" instead of the "stick." Traditionally, people who wanted to influence businesses would threaten or attack them. We believe advocates can have more influence on businesses by giving them a positive incentive to change: our money.Carrotmobbers have already spent over $1 million in over 250 campaigns, in over 20 countries, from New York to Paris to Bangkok. These campaigns have already improved sustainability at businesses worldwide. We are building tools and technology to support this community, help people "vote with their money," and help businesses make important improvements while getting rewarded in the process.
