Philanthropy - Lima, Lima, Peru
Casa Hogar Juan Pablo II is the mission outreach of the Father Joseph Walijewski Guild and the Diocese of La Crosse, WI located south of Lima, Peru. Currently, 72 children call Casa Hogar their home, where they are given faith, family, and a chance at the promising future they deserve. Using the Family Program based on the Boys Town methods, Casa Hogar Juan Pablo II has become a leader in the care of at-risk youth of Peru. Over the years, our organization has provided many children with a safe and caring environment where they gain the confidence to develop skills that empower and enable them for a more promising future. As the central hub for an association of 19 orphanages and local service homes, Casa Hogar aims to impact the community beyond just our children. Through a global network of volunteers, support and love from around the world, our goal is to engage, integrate and uplift the local community while allowing our children not only to survive, but to thrive.
