Castaways is a one-man company that uses discarded clothes to create unique garments. The nunofelting technique is used to merge wool, silk, cotton, linen and hemp fabrics into colourful, everyday clothes. New silk and cotton fabrics are used to supplement the discarded clothes. Wool roving and silk is dyed to match the colours. Natural dyes will be used in the future to develop a new line of durable nunofelted jackets.
