Museums & Institutions - Omaha, Nebraska, United States
Cathedral Arts Project (CAP) was founded in 1985 to promote and celebrate the performing and visual arts through the unique setting of historic St Cecilia's Cathedral. An integral part of our philosophy is to share the arts with the entire community regardless of one's ability to pay. Although reserved seating is available at some events, admission to all events is free to the general public. Our world-class programming is made possible by our patrons, sponsors and special grants. Although events take place in Omaha's St. Cecilia Cathedral, CAP is an interfaith-based organization. We receive no funding from the Cathedral parish or the Archdiocese of Omaha. Our guiding Board of Directors contains members of many creeds and cultures in the Omaha community, interested in meeting our mission: "To promote the performing and visual arts which uplift and challenge the human spirit." Come to the Cathedral! The great bronze doors are open to welcome you.
