Cathedral is a specialist publisher of information for conservation and the built environment, in print and on the web. Established in June 1992 by Elizabeth Coyle-Camp, Gordon Sorensen and Jonathan Taylor in response to the lack of information on products and services for the conservation of historic buildings, Cathedral Communications Limited launched the first edition of The Building Conservation Directory six months later to immediate acclaim. In addition to the Directory, in-house publications include Historic Churches and Historic Gardens, as well as the Building Conservation website BuildingConservation.com.Publications produced for other organisations include: "The Institute for Archaeologists Yearbook", "The Institute of Historic Building Conservation Yearbook", "Context", the Journal of the IHBC, "Discovery and Excavation in Scotland" for Archaeology Scotland, and "Transactions" for the Association for Studies in the Conservation of Historic Buildings. Cathedral also produces websites for other companies and organisations.
