I paint to see more clearly, feel more deeply, and to make stronger connections.I am a visual artist inspired by what I see around me: people, animals, landscapes, and still-life. In painting, I try to capture and convey the essence of the subject through my own perception. I enjoy doing figurative work and portraiture. My main medium is oil on canvas and I'm also exploring encaustic.I have sold dozens of commissioned portraits of people and pets as well as many other paintings including landscape, wildlife, floral, still-life, and abstract subjects. Other artwork includes a hologram, installations, and illustrations.My paintings are sold through my website, the Riverguild in Perth, Ontario and annually during the Perth Autumn Studio Tour. Arrangements can be made to visit the studio at other times, but contact me first.
