CSSM is a non-profit, licensed agency. People need not be Catholic to use the agency services. CSSM is an established leader in open adoption services. Our social work staff has well over120 years of experience working in adoption. CSSM is celebrating 60 years of service to Montanans. Jim Gritter, former child welfare supervisor of Catholic Human Services of Traverse City, author and open adoption expert, has been our mentor for decades. Please note that in our Facebook recommendations, Jim gave us the gracious compliment that he considers CSSM to be one of the finest open adoption agencies in the nation. CSSM offers free, face-to-face counseling, for women and men who may be facing an unintended pregnancy or already parenting a child, and considering making an adoption plan. We believe it is vital for people to have the facts and accurate information necessary to make an informed decision. Counselors will travel anywhere in Montana to meet you. We will assist you if you decide to parent your child or make an adoption plan. CSSM offers open adoption, which we believe allows children to grow up knowing who they are and understanding the love and care that surrounds adoption. We provide help with decision making and provide support before, during and after placement. It's your decision--CSSM is here to help. CSSM serves families in Montana who want to build their family through adoption. We are here to help prepare parents for the issues surrounding adoption and to provide continued support. We help couples to adopt through the CSSM Adoption Program, and provide quality homestudies and post adoption services for those interested in adopting a child internationally, within the U.S., or through a direct parental placement.
