Catofoods is a fast growing food company that is addressing malnutrition and hidden hunger, especially in children under 5 years and pregnant women in Nigeria using our staple crops which have been biofortified as a cost effective way to reduce infant mortality, stunted growth, impaired vision among children and reduce maternal death. We leveraging on innovative technology to providing sustainable solution to nutrition challenges.We are presently in the business of addressing malnutrition especially Vitamin A micronutrients deficiency especially in children under 5years and pregnant women.This is because about 33% of children under the ages of 5 years are Vitamin A deficient which tends to affect their eyesight, growth and brain development and 1 in 5 of these children die from malnutrition related disease every day, so also 1 in 13 pregnant women die everyday due to malnutrition issue especially Vitamin A micronutrients.We operate an hybrid model of business, where we also advocate about malnutrition. At the end of every business year 5% of our profit goes into community services .. We innovate new products, manufacture and distribute to our customers in Nigeria and International Market. These products are available, accessible and affordable Using bio-technology system to produce nutritious food products that are naturally rich in micronutrients especially Vitamin A because we believe agriculture and health has to meet at a point which is called NUTRITION.
