Caviar Portugal is a spin-off of the University of Algarve, established in 2012. Focused on the development and implementation of an aquaculture system for the production of caviar from sturgeon species from the Caspian Sea, this innovative company puts its emphasis on sustainability and products with BIO label, developing a solid project in which they combine renewable energies, hydroponics and state of the art RAS. The company also provides R&D services in aquaculture.
