Cedarwood Cattle Company is a small, foundation Simmental, cow/calf herd established and ran by the Murphy family in 2013. The Murphy family has a long history in agriculture and beef production hailing from the Washington, Iowa area. Both Jeff and Cara Murphy, the operators of the company, have bachelors degrees in animal science from Iowa State University, and Jeff Murphy has a master's in swine nutrition from Iowa State University. The company is proud to provide the highest quality of care and ethical treatment to their animals by maintaining Beef Quality Assurance certification and active memberships in the National and Iowa Cattlemen's Beef Association.
