CELAN started in 2000 as a comprehensive care clinic for patients with pulmonary diseases and thanks to the effort and dedication of the professionals in charge it has evolved to become today a center whose focus is clinical research of all internal medicine specialties.Dr. Edgar Contreras, founder of CELAN, is Chief of Pulmonology at Roosevelt Hospital and Postgraduate Coordinator of the Second Specialty in Pulmonology, Roosevelt Hospital in Guatemala.In 2003, the first research study was conducted in CELAN and 26 protocols were carried out from there. The first studies were exclusively in the therapeutic area of pulmonology, however at present we have experience in infectology, pediatrics and oncology trials.PurposeWe are an organization dedicated to the comprehensive care of patients with pulmonary disease, with emphasis on the management and coordination of clinical studies in different therapeutic areas.
