Built between 1908 and 1910, the Beaux-Arts-style building was originally home to St. Agatha'sConservatory of Music and Art, once the state's premier institution of its type. It also served as theconvent for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet who ran the school until 1962 when it closed. Thebuilding was named to the National Register of Historic Sites in 1989.Upon opening next year, Celeste St. Paul will include 71 guest rooms including 14 suites, 22 kings and 35convent rooms, as well as a bar, meeting rooms and a fitness room.
