The Center for Neurotechnology is one of several Engineering Research Centers (ERCs) across America supported by the National Science Foundation. Our mission is to engineer innovative ways to help the brain and spinal cord adapt and recover from injury by developing a deep understanding of the principles of engineered neuroplasticity. We connect this new knowledge with the design of neural devices, which will restore health and function throughout the entire body. Our headquarters are based at the University of Washington in Seattle, and our core partners are at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and San Diego State University.
