The Center for Racial Justice (CRJ) works towards eliminating individual and institutional racism and White supremacy by educating local communities about the history of systemic racial injustice; building intentional, multiracial relationships; and leveraging our collective power to achieve racial equity. The CRJ is called to:1) stand absolutely and unconditionally in opposition to individual and institutional racism;2) see ourselves and all of humanity as bound together in service to the common good; and3) address racism within ourselves, our places of worship, and our civic institutions before we can effectively address racism in our community and beyond. The Center for Racial Justice (CRJ) believes in a three-tiered approach to achieving racial justice:1) educating people about racism and white supremacy;2) connecting people through interracial dialogue; and3) organizing anti-racist activists to build an active, passionate network of stakeholders seeking systemic change. At its core, this strategy is designed to accelerate the development of meaningful interpersonal relationships—the first steps in breaking down barriers of division. A multi-step method that prioritizes educating, connecting, and organizing as co-equal branches is unique even among like-minded organizations. As such, the CRJ is confident it offers a promising pathway forward for local communities to create unity through meaningful collaboration.
