CVWER is devoted to learning and immersive environments. Our focus is on facilitating research, disseminating information, and encouraging collaboration by:• Providing a Journal dedicated exclusively and specifically on the use of immersive environments for education, thus enabling a location for researchers to publish their work as well as a resource for experts in the field to look to for the latest information;• Providing events, including an annual conference, in order for educators, researchers and business people to network, learn, and collaborate in a collegial environment;• Providing training for those new to virtual environments. The Center's staff provides a broad overview for administrators and management, hands-on training for direct users, or anything in between;• Promoting the use of virtual environments for education by disseminating current information on their use and encouraging open discussion on the topic.
