Centre for Healthy Longevity (CHL), based in Singapore, brings together scientists and clinicians to investigate the multifaceted aspects of ageing. Our mission is to add healthy years of life by delaying ageing, prolonging disease-free life and maintaining high functionality. We synergise basic and clinical science to develop biomarkers for measuring ageing, to test interventions that slow down ageing, and to create personalized implementation strategies that extend healthy life expectancy in Singapore and worldwide.Centre for Healthy Longevity is supported by National University of Singapore (NUS) and National University Health Systems (NUHS). At NUS, we are part of the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The programme aims to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the biology of ageing by identifying and manipulating common pathways that modulate ageing in vitro and in vivo, and then to seek methods for translation to humans. At NUHS, we are one of the six Centres of Excellence dedicated to advance breakthroughs in innovation, create new models of care, and forge collaborative partnership with the community, to improve the quality of life for Singaporeans.
