Our vision is to empower young people at risk to respect themselves, to connect to the wider community and to create an inspired life.At Centre For Hope we work with students who are "at risk" from absenteeism from school; exclusion from the classroom; unexplained deterioration in grades; young persons excluded in the playground/bullying; behavioural indicators; disappearing at night and no extended family to support.We work with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students to assist them to find their place in the wider community.We center hope by focusing our coaching on:Self Esteem,Emotional Intelligence,Setting Mission & Vision Statements,and Goal Setting.The purpose of the Centre for Hope is to help young persons at risk in the 13 to 16 year old age group through a Coaching and Mentoring program.Centre for Hope provides coaches and mentors who are strong role models for the young persons as well as supporting their families or carers.Mentors actively seek to link students to programs in the community such as Surfing Schools, Sporting Clubs, Boxing Clubs etc and also encourage their participation in vocational activities.
