Centre Ice Arena is an ice skating rink open year round in Traverse City, MI and the Home of Detroit Red Wings Training Camp, NHL Prospect Tournament, Grand Traverse Hockey Association, Traverse City Figure Skating Club, Traverse City Curling Club, High School Hockey Teams (TC Central Trojans, TC West Titans and Bay Reps), Adult League Hockey and Public Skating Programs such as Open Skate, Twilight Skate, Sticks & Pucks and Drop In Hockey. Most of our public programs take place at Howe Arena, located within the Grand Traverse County Civic Center at 1125 Civic Center Drive, Traverse City.There are two sheets of ice - named David's Rink and West Rink - within Centre Ice Arena, located at 1600 Chartwell Drive, just off Hammond Road between 3 and 4 Mile Roads in Traverse City, MI.I.C.E. (Involved Citizens Enterprises) is the non-profit organization that owns and operates Centre Ice Arena and manages Howe Arena. Howe Arena is open from September 1 through mid-March, at which time the ice rink is taken down and the space becomes an exhibition hall. From mid-March until late August, Public Skating Programs move to Centre Ice Arena.Centre Ice Arena is also home to these fine businesses: Centre Ice Fitness, Gibby's Concessions, A Little Schoolhouse and Hockey Shop North. The arena is open to the public and visitors are welcome to stop by any time.Over 400,000 people visit Centre Ice Arena annually!
