Primary/secondary Education - Pallata, Qosqo, Peru
Centro Educativo Pallata Ayllu, or CEPA, is a non-governmental (NGO) community learning center. CEPA was co-developed in 2016 with the community members of Pallata, a rural Indigenous (Quechua) Andean community. Our mission is to support community-identified educational goals and provide culturally-sustaining educational opportunities. Designed for children and adult learners, CEPA houses courses taught by local Indigenous community members, professional teachers, and international volunteers. Indigenous community members have the opportunity to learn literacy, computer, math, and community development knowledge and skills through culturally-grounded teaching practices.
