El Centro lingüístico La Unión is a Spanish school located in Antigua, Guatemala. We started 21 years ago with experienced, committed Guatemalan Spanish teachers in the colonial city of Antigua. We focus on practise and that is what makes us an effective and efficient school. We have made our success with an one-on-one instruction that gives a low stress environment, frees students from the fear of failure, instructors can gauge the student's progress and mastery, gives students the opportunity to step up and not rely on others, gives the ability to personalize conversations and assignments and an high quality interaction where students feel heard.La Unión Spanish School also offers activities complementary to the language instruction, such as salsa and merengue lessons, tours around local museums, farms, and markets, and hiking around the surrounding mountains and volcanoes of Antigua, how to make tortillas, scrabble, and coffee plantation.Furthermore, for students wishing to quickly enhance their Spanish and learn more about Guatemalan culture, we recommend lodging with a Guatemalan family. The students receive 7 nights of lodging in a private room, including 3 meals daily Monday through Saturday (vegetarian and vegan meals can be arranged), with a hot shower and purified water.We also have a Social Projects Department that offers volunteer opportunities in and around Antigua such as: hospitals, farm, agriculture, public schools, guarderías, clinics, constructions, art, day care, orphanage and veterinarian.Finally, La Union's Provides academic credits for Spanish courses that are approved by The Rural University of Guatemala and authorized by the Republic of Guatemala and the Ministry of External Relations.https://launion.edu.gt/?v=cd6a9bd2a175
