CEPAS | USP acts as a facilitator of basic and applied for hydrogeological and hydrological scientific work, assisting the researcher in his/her various activities, as well as being a hub between him/her and the different science and technology groups around the world. Its mission is to seek and implement the best solutions for the problems that affect water resources and contamination.Another feature of the CEPAS|USP is its work with the University of São Paulo Graduate programs, which provide high-level training in master and doctoral degrees. Almost all of the Centre's projects rely on the strong performance of undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students who, together with their laboratory structure, conduct various research activities.The academic and scientific nature of CEPAS | USP, associated with the largest university in the country, guarantees its autonomy and exemption for technical advice, based on the most modern techniques available on the market. With this, the extension activity has played an essential role in its history, issuing technical reports, legal expertise, and assistance to municipalities and government agencies in Brazil and abroad, welfare entities, and public and private companies.
