The Cerebral Palsy Center helps people with developmental disabilities have the chance at a better, richer life with as much independence as possible. Through the services we offer, our clients have a chance at finding a job, living independently, enjoying relationships with others, participating in hobbies and leisure activities and giving back to the community through volunteer work. Day Services at the Center consist of:* Facility Based - Teaching individuals how to take care of themselves, developing social skills, and providing a break for family care givers. * Community Based - Helping individuals become part of community life through volunteer work, YWCA and civic club memberships, and leisure activities. * Employment Services - Seeks employment through three programs, Supported Employment, Project SEARCH and the Transition Team, providing job aptitude assessment, job development, stabilization, job coaching and follow up support services.Residential Services consist of:* Group Living - Meal, transportation, and personal care assistance provided in agency owned, accessible group homes by on-site staff.* Individualized Living - Services are provided in individuals' homes or apartments and consist of assistance with personal care, housekeeping, shopping, transportation, and meal preparation. The Family Support Program is a DIDD funded program which the Center administers and is a funding/referral service to provide whatever supports, services, or equipment needed to enable individuals and their families to remain in their homes and community. Services can include but are not limited to: Home Modifications, Specialized Equipment, Respite Care, Counseling, Health Related Needs, and Supplies. Altogether over 300 individuals benefit from the services offered through the Cerebral Palsy Center.
