Many of these artisans do not have regular access to global markets so we are doing what we can to establish the pathways needed to bring their creations to you while increasing their financial strength at the same time. A large number of artisans are women and we place a special preference on supporting them. Nothing offered for sale is mass-produced, nothing is made in factories and nothing is made in China. Everything offered is handmade in its country of origin.We firmly believe in fair trade practices and in paying a fair price. We are also deeply committed to the promotion of human rights and the protection of children. We draw and emphasize the distinction between child labor and true learning opportunities such as apprenticeships.
